Job Description
The Marine Installation Representative oversees the on-board technical performance of system operations, ensuring compliance with Supply Contract requirements. This role involves regular reporting to the Marine Implementation Manager, video documentation of the installation process as needed, and reviewing supplier installation procedures and preliminary as-laid Route Position Lists (RPLs) to uphold system reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze contract deliverables, collaborate with team members, and achieve project objectives.
- Ensure on-time delivery, billing milestones, and required documentation.
- Prepare Daily Project Reports during active installations.
- Develop strategies for customer concerns and coordinate solutions with peers.
- Contribute to project status reports for the Project Team.
Requirements:
- BOSIET or equivalent at-sea survival certification.
- OGUK or equivalent physical health certification.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster.
- Medical disclosure for assignment-related needs (e.g., insulin).
- Drug screen (if not included in OGUK physical, within 2 years).
- Seaman’s book and valid passport.
- Three professional references.
- Work history for the past five years.
- Full proficiency in written and conversational Japanese.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree, OR
- Minimum of five (5) years of professional telecom experience with at least two (2) years in a related position, OR
- Five years of telecom experience plus a related professional certification (e.g., PMP, PE).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Adherence to ISO Quality and InfoSec standards.
- Strong problem-solving, reporting, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage effectively with customers, management, and peers.
